Message from the Founder

The year 2008 has past but it’s not gone. The memories of the year will remain a history that we can always recall and remember. Another year has started and hopefully there will be more history made as in years past.

In times of conflict, when countries are at war, brave military men and women group themselves together to defend their home country. Many including non-military personnel, willingly volunteer their time to support the efforts that will preserve their territory and their way of life.

In much the same way, the PAGES group of volunteers has chosen to volunteer, giving their time and talent with as much dedication, in order to help provide children with necessary surgical procedures that will correct their birth defects. It is the volunteers of PAGES, who set into motion halfway around the globe, that give children a chance for a better life, and a better future.

The world is in economic crisis, but the world must continue to move. The people must continue to group together for a better tomorrow, for a better life to come and for a chance to help one another.

The PAGES mission involves over six months of preparations, but it is only during two of those weeks that the biggest difference is made in the lives of hundreds of children. These children wait for months for the few chosen ones to make their hopes and dreams to come true. These two weeks are long awaited by so many that, despite conflicts and economic crises, the PAGES volunteers continue their work, and the mission continues for the sake of many deserving children in need.
